Why candle flame burn upwards?

A candle flame burns upwards because hot air rises. When the wax melts and turns into vapor, it burns and heats the air around it. This hot air is lighter, so it moves upward, while cooler air comes in from below to provide oxygen. This creates a steady upward flow, giving the flame its teardrop shape.

Why does a candle burn with a yellow flame?

The yellow color of a candle flame comes from tiny glowing particles of carbon (soot) produced when the wax vapor burns. These particles get very hot and give off a warm yellow light as they glow. This is why most candles have a soft, golden flame instead of being completely blue or invisible.

Can candle wax be reused?

Yes, leftover candle wax can be reused! Many people collect the remaining wax from used candles and melt it down to make new candles, wax melts, or tealights. However, it’s important to use a fresh wick and ensure the wax is clean and free from debris before reusing. Keep in mind that mixing different waxes or fragrances may change the scent and burn quality.
